So you may have noticed the address to our blog. Take care of the luck. It refers to a comedian that me and Melinda both like, Brian Reagan. He does a skit where he talks about how sometimes you start saying one thing, but then decide to change what you say half way through. So for example saying goodbye to someone your tongue may start saying, "Take care!" But, your brain decides to say, "Good luck!" So the result is "Take luck!" Then in extreme haste you try to cover up your massacre of the two phrases and start yelling out random phrases like "Take care of the luck!" So there is a breif explination of the address.
Now let me explain what happened last night at my work. I go up to The Graden prep kitchen (in the Joseph Smith Memorial Build from now on called the JSMB) to grab some soup containers for the leftover soup because it is the end of the night. I see my boss Scott he asks how things are going. I reply good and you?
"Fine not too busy, though"
"Yeah well we haven't been too hoppinin' either." I do not know if hoppinin' is what actually came out because I do not think I could explain in writting exactly what it sounded like. Now let me try to explain.
I was trying to say in essence we were not too busy, either. But changed it to the more slangish happening, then tried to use some form of hopping. Yes, I know I should hang my head in shame.
His reply was a muttered, "That is too bad."
I do not know what exactly he heard, though it may even be "We haven't been to happy either." Yea needless to say I all but ran for the elevator as he was already on his way too, and probably more confused then I was.
